Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and TicketSpy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (registered address: [REGISTERED ADDRESS]) (“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your use of the TicketSpy website and service, available at ticketspy.app.

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not create an account or use the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that point means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:

"Service"
means the TicketSpy website and alerting platform, accessible at ticketspy.app.
"Account"
means the personal account you create to access the Service.
"Alert"
means a monitoring rule you set up for a specific event, which instructs the Service to check that event for ticket availability on your behalf.
"Poll"
means a single automated check of a Ticketmaster event page carried out by the Service.
"Notification"
means a message sent to you (by email or other supported channel) when the Service detects a change in ticket availability for an event you have an Alert set up for.
"Subscription"
means a paid plan that gives you access to additional features of the Service, as described on our pricing page.
"Ticketmaster"
means the third-party ticketing platform operated at ticketmaster.co.uk. Ticketmaster is not affiliated with us in any way.
"We", "us", "our"
means TicketSpy Ltd.
"You", "your"
means the individual who has created an Account and is using the Service.

3. About the Service

TicketSpy monitors Ticketmaster event pages and sends you a Notification when it detects that tickets for an event you’re watching may have become available.

It’s important to understand what the Service does not do:

  • We do not purchase tickets on your behalf. A Notification means our last Poll detected a change in availability — you still need to visit Ticketmaster yourself to attempt a purchase.
  • We are not affiliated with Ticketmaster in any way. TicketSpy is an independent service. Ticketmaster has no involvement in, and accepts no responsibility for, anything we do.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of Notifications. Ticket availability can change in seconds. By the time you receive a Notification and attempt to purchase, tickets may no longer be available.
  • We do not guarantee that all changes in availability will be detected. Polls are carried out on a best-effort basis. Factors outside our control — including changes to the Ticketmaster website, technical issues, or network outages — may mean some availability windows are missed entirely.

The Service is provided for personal use only. More detail on permitted use is set out in Section 6.

4. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom
  • Be a real individual (accounts may not be created on behalf of a company or organisation)
  • Not have had a previous Account suspended or terminated by us

By creating an Account, you confirm that you meet all of the above requirements. If we discover that you do not, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account immediately.

5. Account Registration and Security

When creating an Account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your details up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that takes place on your Account. You must not share your login credentials with anyone else.

If you believe your Account has been accessed without your permission, you must notify us immediately at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

We reserve the right to require you to change your password or suspend your Account if we believe it has been compromised or is being misused.

One Account per person. You may not create multiple Accounts.

6. Personal Use

The Service is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.

You must not:

  • Share your Account or login credentials with any other person
  • Use the Service to monitor events on behalf of others, whether or not payment is involved
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise provide access to the Service to any third party
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose, including to assist with the purchase of tickets for resale

These restrictions exist to ensure the Service remains fair for all users and is not misused in ways that could affect its availability or performance.

Breach of this section is grounds for immediate Account termination without notice or refund.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

The Service is available on a free plan and one or more paid Subscription plans. The features included in each plan and the current pricing are set out on our pricing page at ticketspy.app/pricing.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is taken automatically at the start of each billing period using the payment details you provide.

By starting a paid Subscription, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By providing your payment details, you also agree to Stripe’s terms of service (stripe.com/gb/legal/ssa). We do not store your full card details — these are held securely by Stripe.

If a payment fails, we will notify you and may restrict your access to paid features until payment is resolved. Repeated failed payments may result in your Subscription being cancelled.

We reserve the right to change Subscription prices. Where we do so, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice before the new price takes effect. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the change comes into effect.

All prices are in pounds sterling (£). Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your Account settings. Cancellation stops future charges immediately. You will retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your Account will revert to the free plan.

We do not offer refunds for the current billing period once payment has been taken, or for any unused portion of a Subscription.

We do not offer refunds for missed or delayed Notifications, or for periods where the Service was affected by factors outside our control. Section 9 explains these limitations in more detail.

If you believe you are entitled to a remedy due to a material failure of the Service, please contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL]. We will assess requests on a case-by-case basis. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and Notifications are provided on a best-effort basis only.

Polling frequency

Polls are carried out at regular intervals, but the stated frequency is a target, not a guarantee. Polls may be delayed, missed, or temporarily suspended due to factors within or outside our control.

Third-party dependency

The Service relies on monitoring pages on ticketmaster.co.uk. We have no control over Ticketmaster’s website, and Ticketmaster may at any time:

  • Change the structure or content of their pages in ways that affect how we detect ticket availability
  • Restrict or prevent TicketSpy's ability to access their pages
  • Take their website offline for maintenance or other reasons

Any of the above may cause Polls to fail or produce inaccurate results, and may affect the Service for an extended period. We are not liable for any such disruption.

Infrastructure and network

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure including hosting, database, email delivery, and payment services, as well as internet connectivity. Outages or failures affecting any of these may delay or prevent Notifications from being sent.

No compensation for missed alerts

We will not provide refunds, credits, or any other form of compensation solely because a Notification was missed, delayed, or inaccurate, regardless of the reason.

Planned maintenance

We may occasionally need to take the Service offline for maintenance. Where possible, we will give advance notice, but this is not always practicable.

10. No Guarantee of Ticket Purchase

A Notification means that our last Poll detected that tickets for an event may have become available. It is not a confirmation that tickets are still available at the time you receive it or attempt to make a purchase.

Ticket availability can change within seconds. We accept no responsibility if tickets are no longer available by the time you visit Ticketmaster, or if you are otherwise unable to complete a purchase following a Notification.

We do not purchase tickets on your behalf, and we have no involvement in any transaction between you and Ticketmaster.

11. Acceptable Use

You must use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. In addition to the personal use restrictions in Section 6, you must not:

  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent any security or authentication measures
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the Service beyond normal personal use
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract any part of the Service or its underlying software
  • Use the Service in any way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure
  • Use the Service in connection with any unlawful activity, including but not limited to the illegal resale of tickets
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of any tickets purchased following a Notification complies with Ticketmaster’s own terms and any applicable law. We accept no responsibility for how you use tickets acquired as a result of using our Service.

12. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service — including its code, design, branding, and content — belong to TicketSpy Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for the purposes permitted by these Terms. This licence ends immediately if your Account is terminated or suspended for any reason.

You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

13. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains in full what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK data protection law. Please read it carefully — it forms part of your agreement with us.

In summary, we collect:

  • Your name and email address, to create and manage your Account and send you Notifications
  • Your Alert settings, to know which events to monitor on your behalf
  • Payment information, which is processed and stored securely by Stripe — we do not store your full card details

To provide the Service, we share data with the following third parties: Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (email delivery), and Stripe (payment processing). We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

14. Our Right to Suspend or Terminate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account at any time in the following circumstances:

  • You have breached these Terms, including the personal use restrictions in Section 6 or the acceptable use requirements in Section 11 — in which case we may act immediately and without prior notice
  • Payment for your Subscription has repeatedly failed and has not been resolved following notification
  • We have reason to believe your Account is being used fraudulently or in a way that could harm other users or the Service
  • We decide to discontinue the Service, in which case we will give you at least 30 days’ notice where reasonably practicable

Where termination is due to your breach of these Terms, no refund will be issued for any remaining Subscription period.

On termination of your Account for any reason, your Alerts and associated data will be deleted. We may retain certain data for legal or operational purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you wish to close your Account yourself, you may do so through your Account settings or by contacting us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with the Service — whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise — is limited to the total Subscription fees you have paid to us in the 30 days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you are on the free plan, we have no liability to you beyond what is required by law.

We are not liable for any of the following types of loss, even if foreseeable:

  • Loss of opportunity, including any failure to acquire tickets for an event
  • Loss arising from a missed, delayed, or inaccurate Notification
  • Loss caused by the actions or omissions of Ticketmaster or any other third party
  • Any indirect, special, or consequential loss

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at ticketspy.app/terms.

For material changes — such as new restrictions on how you can use the Service, or changes that affect your rights — we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

For minor changes such as clarifications or corrections that do not affect your rights, we may update the Terms without notice, though we will always update the “last updated” date at the top of the document.

If you do not agree with a material change, you may cancel your Subscription before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the notice period means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
